An Announcement!

We are pleased to announce that we are supporting a team of British rowers, Atlantic Endeavour, in The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, which is an ocean endurance race of 3,000 nautical miles from the La Gomera, Canary Islands to Antigua, Caribbean in December 2016. They are also attempting to break two world records: the fastest four women crew and the fastest all women crew to cross the Atlantic. The current world record is 40 days.

These adventurous souls will be up against some of the harshest weather on the planet, from scorching heat to hurricanes, all the while dealing with sleep deprivation, fatigue, blisters and wildlife. They will be embarking on a light weight, 7 by 2 metre rowing vessel with a small cabin, solar panels, a water de-salinisation system and GPS navigation. The boat is specifically designed to self-right should it capsize making it possible for the team to survive the 50 foot waves they will likely encounter. Once the boat leaves the harbour they will be on their own until they reach the finish line.
